keeping up with the jones’
When I’m asked to give people advice about staying out of debt I tell them that they absolutely must make sure they pay off your credit cards balances each and every month. I realize how tempting it can be to let it slip for a month, but once you start down that path, things start to snowball and before you know it you’re making minimum payments on 10 different credit cards just hoping that nobody realizes that you’re in debt up to your eyeballs and one unexpected emergency would send you spiraling into bankruptcy and you’d lose all those “things” you bought just to keep up with the Jones’.
