Pastor for Hire
Last week I heard on the radio that a pastor was selling his talents on eBay. Basically, there is such a need to fill new jobs in churches that churches end up competing with each other (not outright, but without even intending to) in order to hire a pastor. This pastor came up with the idea to have churches openly compete for his services. A lot of people were upset by this move, but I think that he is simply taking a new approach to getting himself known. If his family is supportive, I don’t see what the big deal is.
