Window box safety
When hanging a planter from your window or your deck edge insure that the material and the fasteners are sturdy and will not deteriorate from water and soil. Window boxes should be inspected each year to insure the readiness for another season of growth. If you invested in a quality well made box in the first place you should expect it to last for years with a minimum of maintenance. Just remember they spend there working time filled with water and dirt on the inside and exposed to the elements on the outside. The last thing you want is for one to fall and injure someone.
